Yeast probiotics have gained considerable attention in recent times for exerting several health benefits including gut health, antimicrobial resistance, immunity, weight loss, and mental health, among others. Probiotics have not only benefited human beings but also animals and plants. The present bibliometric analysis attempts to shed more light on the evolution, trends, and main actors in this area by analysing the research area of yeast probiotics from 2020 to 2024. This study identified major countries, authors, top journals, and key research themes from 605 articles retrieved from the Web of Science database and VOSviewer. The data show an increased number of articles, especially in 2023, demonstrating increased interest in yeast probiotics studies. It was determined that the top three countries contributing to yeast probiotic research were the United States, China, and Brazil. This study maps global collaborations in the field of yeast probiotics and identifies promising research hotspots. The results provide insightful information to researchers by identifying some of the most striking studies and patterns that are bound to bear on future research into yeast probiotics and enhance our realizations of their uses and advantages.
